The Skeletor Show, Starring Skeletor (as Skeletor).
Instead of plotting against He-Man and ruling the universe, however, Skeletor now mainly bums around the castle and attempts to put up with his slow-witted companions, goes on a blind date, gets tips on skin care, and endures a visit from his parents (who may not actually be his […]

Demo of Xbox 360 Gesture Recognition

Date May 11th, 2006 Comment 1 Comment

GestPoint has some cool gesture recognition going on with two of the upcoming Xbox 360 Eye-Toy cameras. Using two instead of one, they can detect motion in 3d space. Using your finger or other body part, you can direct a sword or other objects on the screen up, down, left, right, in, and out. The […]

Black Arm attack “kills thirteen”

Date May 16th, 2006 Comment 6 Comments

That was the fatal moment in which Jimbob McDunclugrocks was savagely mauled by the Black Arm of Snargle, in what The Daily Warthog counts as the thirteenth attack in so many days.
“At least 1000 people have now been claimed in Northern Ireland’s Jordanstown area”, our correspondant states. “Tens of thousands of pinapple chunks have been […]

Hard Rock Hallelujah

Eurovision time again, and the Finnish entry, Lordi, has to be my tip for the top. Kind of like a cross between Spinal Tap and Skeletor’s stag ‘do, with lyrics like “Wings on my back, I got horns on my head. My fangs are sharp and my eyes are red” how can they fail to […]

Designer’s Dilemmas - Incorporating Logos

Date May 20th, 2006 Comment 3 Comments

Here’s a question I’ve seen floating around quite a few blogs and support forums recently; I’m sure it’s happened to you all a few times, I know it’s happened to me. You begin creating a site for a client, but they inform you they already have a logo… a terrible logo…they want you to use. […]

Famous Moments in IMD History Episode Two - The Fourteen-Lunged Maroo

Date May 20th, 2006 Comment 2 Comments

It couldn’t have planned more….well, it couldn’t have been planned.
No-one would have believed, in the last hours of IMD, that so few would risk so much for the chance to proclaim an end to Block 17, to Buffalo Hunky Doreys at four in the morning, to edging your way past Franz’s socks for a […]

Outlaw Image Restored

Date May 20th, 2006 Comment 4 Comments

A photo of the famous outlaw gang ‘The Dunclug Thugs’ has been restored by the Franz J. Goatherder Institute. The image depicts the founding members of the gang, ‘Wild’ Ciaran Jordan, Mad Dog McBrycicle and ‘The Kid’ Hoeritzauer in a really authentic 18th Century Saloon that has in no way been Photoshopped.
Honest.

Playstation 3

Date May 22nd, 2006 Comment 3 Comments

What is with the conceptual, and as far as I know, final design for the Playstation 3? Sony have recently abandoned the ‘boomerang’ type in favour of the old controller, which in my opinion is unbeatable. However, not only have they opted for a George-Foreman-grill-meets-coffin-look for the machine itself, but they’ve shamelessly ripped off the […]

Silver Snurzle

Date May 24th, 2006 Comment 3 Comments

Another blast from the past; I hope to upload the Silver Snurzle site in its entirety sometime this weekend, but for now, here’s a few bits and pieces that harken back to the day of apocalyptic mud fights and time trials ’round the lab. First off, lead creative director of Silver Fox, Mr Ken McSnaggle, […]
