What ever happened to the term Information Superhighway? The term was popularised by Al Gore around 1994 at the dawn of what now call the Internet, no-one knows exactly who was behind but its pretty certain that Al Gore brought it to the attention of everyone. I remember being told about it by a friend in school on geography class probably around 1994 and I was really amazed by the sound of it all, my friend explained it was like teletext only better.

2006 ain’t over yet buddy…. and by posting ‘internet’, ‘Nuclear’ and ‘die’, our beloved hog is only two flags away from CIA monitoring. Only Alla and Jihad to go………oops
COLIN!
you spelt Alla wrong - it’s Allah, (Azza wa Jalla, for our muslim readers)
I was trying not to raise another CIA flag…..Ciarán! Also that’s English not Arabic….. Also you smell……like a dead dingo’s testicle
ha ha!
I have a book called the ‘bluff your way on the internet’ printed in 1999.
In the section called ‘The Future’ I Quote:
“By 2006 everyone in the west will be online, but the growing billions of third world poor will still live in poverty. The resulting instability will cause a worldwide war, and the third world scientists will learn how to make nuclear bombs through the internet. Everyone will die”
Its a positive slant. Im still waiting on my hoverboard.
