cctv cameras

What a great idea:

I am working with the arts organisation Independent Photography and a group of young people from the Greenwich Peninsula on a new project. We will be making a Rap video using the CCTV cameras that are strewn across the Peninsula. The young people are creating the rap lyrics as well as the music which will be performed in front of the local CCTV cameras. We will then be making a number of Freedom of Information Act requests in order to acquire the footage they appear in and then dub our music on top of the CCTV footage.
“The total number of cameras in the UK is around 4,000,000. The UK has one camera for every 14 people.”

The aim is to improve community relations and have a more informed discussion between the local police and young people on issues such CCTV, knife crime in Greenwich as well as youth targeting for stop and search.

Emmm….by making a rap video? And anyways, This is just a rip-off of those guys that performed film scenes and plays in front of cctvs for bored security guards.
