You know your old when….

I got an email about the Klaxons new song, and some of the langauge is new to me.

Some quotes….

delivered hand in hand in the physical on an etch a sketched limited 7″ and transparent vinyl!”

“b e-ware…”

“already avalible in the walls off cyberspace

“the p-package is completed with an exclusive remix by blende>>>”

I only just learn’d that “Off the Hook” no longer means to “get away with something”. Now it might just be the grey hair or the deafness or the growing grumpy old man look I’m developing talking, but I fear for the future…

“delivered hand in hand in the physical”

Emmm…does this mean it’s sent out to you? Fecking hell, have we become so net-centred that ‘posted’ now means something you do on a forum, and that receiving a physical piece of music is now considered a novelty?

Think it’s trying the describe the acient ritual of buying a cd in a shop, one which involves the use of the majority of the hand, not just the fingertips- crazy I know!

You mean your thumb is not just for the space bar? WOWOWEEWAH!

In my day music was played by the local flutonian troubadour through the audible means of strum-diddling.

Now thats what I call music 1812

A fantastic year, the introduction of diatonic notes made for a wonderful christmas

Aparently you can use your thumb to “grasp tool like objects” - whatever they are…

I also have fond memories of the “It a Jazzy Jeffmas” compliation too

Got this email…..

“Digital Immigrant”

“Someone who grew up before the digital age and is fairly new to the internet. Basically anyone over the age of 28.”

Thank God I’m only 27…… I think…..
