and yes, I know its “Photo realistic” 3d animation, but looks more like a playstation intro
Not just photo-realistic Colin, but in 3D, with glasses and everything! The fact of the matter is, Beowulf is a tale that hasn’t been done justice to date, due to effects constraints-it’s a gritty, dark tale that can’t be done in any other form of animation without looking campy, and the scenes are too complex and fantastical to do for real. It’s the kind of thing this form of animation was made for.
Don’t get me wrong, probably be a great film. Maybe its cause they’ve “airbrushed” Winstone (thinner and more muscular at the same time, and somthing with his eyes) making the voice seam not to fit the character.
Looks like a computer game…… and Winstone’s “apples and pears” accent may be just a annoying as Colin Farrells “Macadonian” accent….
“I’m ere to kill your monster, govn’or”
